The James Automatic Watch by Fossil

My fiancé gave me the James Automatic (FS4197) for Christmas. I am extremely happy with it. My first impression, as I pulled it out of the traditional Fossil tin, was the weight. It’s one of the heavier watches that I have ever worn, although the weight isn’t overly noticeable while it is on my wrist. It has the feel of quality and ruggedness.
The first thing I did after putting it on my wrist was to set the time. As I expected, the hour and minute are set by pulling the knob out and twisting. Setting the date was not as I expected. Usually, the knob is pulled out to the first notch and turned to the correct date. With this (and all Fossil Automatics, I believe), I simply had to pull the knob all the way out, and upon pushing the knob back in, the date number steps to the next date.
All Fossil Automatic movement watches require no battery or manual winding. The James has a stainless rotor inside that rotates with one’s natural movement in order to keep the watch wound and has the added bonus of a unique looking design.
The James watch is one of the best gifts I received this Christmas.
